In recognition of Father’s Day, I let my husband do exactly what made him a father…spend all day with his children. Aren’t I sweet?
So it was off to the Curious George exhibit at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, where we could at least enjoy the gorgeous day in between walks from one play area to the next. Since I had nothing at all planned for my poor husband (except for a very odd card, mostly drawn by my 3 year old of a big ass hot dog), I suggested that we go to Fish for lunch. I knew that we could at least continue to enjoy the amazing weather and that the food would be reliably good and of course, fresh fresh fresh. How could Fish disappoint? You can order your food and grab a table on the deck, basking in the Sausalito sun. You can enjoy a cold glass of something in the adorable mason jars. The fish is impeccably delicious, the vibe totally relaxed and unpretentious…And heck, you can order ceviche (which is exactly what I did). Turns out some of the best plans are unplanned (well, maybe not in the case of, say, teenage pregnancies, but I think you know what I meant).
On Father’s Day, my husband celebrated with fish and chips.

I dare say that I celebrated harder with this crab roll.

And the ceviche.

I love Fish! Fresh oysters washed down with a cold Scrimshaw beer. Nothing better! You should also try Le Garage down the way on the water. Quite good last time I went.
these pictures are making me hungry
